Thomas Entwistle has a Chancery practice focusing particularly on litigation and advisory work in the following areas:

• administration of estates

• professional negligence

He regularly appears in the High Court and County Courts.

Notable Cases

• Brudenell-Bruce v Moore and Cotton [2012] EWHC 1024 (Ch) with Penelope Reed QC – acted for the trustees of the Savernake estate in their dispute with the Earl of Cardigan concerning the ownership of paintings and the self-dealing rule
• Re S & S [2010] 1 WLR 1082 – appointment of a deputy for property and affairs
• Ashcroft v Barnsdale [2010] EWHC 1948 – rectification of a deed of variation

Thomas regularly gives talks to solicitors and professional bodies on the areas in which he practises. He is the co-author of A Practitioner's Guide to Trustee Investment, which was published in 2003 by LexisNexis.
